This Ossila Spin Coating System pairs the Standard V3 spin coater (L2001A3) with a single syringe pump, a connection adapter, disposable syringes, PTFE tubing and needles. It is built for labs that want automated, repeatable thin film fabrication with less manual pipetting and fewer operator errors. This configuration includes a custom polypropylene (PP) chuck and a US (Type B) power plug.
The spin coater runs from 120 to 6,000 rpm with speed stability within <2% error and accepts substrates up to 100 mm (4") in diameter. Custom chucks may be up to 115 mm in diameter and are made to the substrate dimensions you specify. The syringe pump supports infusion and withdrawal, holds syringes from 0.5 μl to 60 ml, and drives them with a NEMA 17 stepper motor at a rate accuracy of ±0.16%.
Both instruments have built-in software, so no external PC is needed to create and store multi-step programs. The adapter can stay fitted while you dispense by hand, and the two units can also be used separately.
- Automated, repeatable spin coating of thin films with syringe-controlled solution dispensing.
- Antisolvent quenching, where the solvent must be added after a precise delay.
- Layer-by-layer spin coating of multilayered structures.
- Coating substrates of non-standard sizes using a chuck made to custom dimensions.
