The Ossila Standard Spin Coater (L2001A3) is a compact, vacuum-free bench instrument for depositing uniform thin films from solution. This configuration comes with the multi-substrate polypropylene chuck, which holds four common substrate sizes: 20 mm x 15 mm, 25 mm x 25 mm, 50 mm x 50 mm and 75 mm x 25 mm. Because no vacuum line is needed, it runs from a single mains socket and fits on a crowded bench, in a fume hood or inside a glove box.
Spin speed is programmable from 120 – 6,000 rpm with <2% error, and spin times run from 1 – 1,000 sec. The controller stores 10 user profiles, each holding 10 programs of up to 50 steps, which makes it practical for shared labs that rely on repeatable recipes.
Without vacuum suction, substrates stay flat and undamaged, including thin and flexible ones. The chuck has a rimmed edge for more even airflow and less solvent build-up, simplified drainage channels for stability, and finger cutouts for quick removal. The unit has a polypropylene bowl, steel casing and tempered glass lid, plus a magnetic door safety switch, built-in spirit level and adjustable feet.
