Ossila I301 is a ready-to-use triple cation perovskite precursor ink intended for making perovskite solar cells in a controlled inert environment such as a nitrogen-filled glove box. The DMSO-based formulation combines formamidinium iodide (FAI), lead iodide (PbI2), methylammonium bromide (MABr), lead bromide (PbBr2) and caesium iodide (CsI). Once deposited and converted by solvent quenching followed by thermal annealing, it forms a (Cs0.05FA0.81MA0.14)Pb(I0.85Br0.15)3 perovskite film.
The ink was developed together with research partners to maximise power conversion efficiency. In the device stack ITO-coated glass/SnO2/perovskite/Spiro-OMeTAD/Au, devices reached a peak PCE of 19.0% and an average of 16.4% ± 3.9%. It suits both standard and inverted device architectures, and adding a small fraction of caesium helps address the thermal and phase instability seen in double cation perovskites.
I301 is supplied as 10 sealed amber vials of 0.5 ml each (5 ml total), filled inside a glove box. Following the recommended recipe, 5 ml can coat up to 100 substrates, equivalent to 800 devices on an 8-pixel substrate layout.
- Fabrication of perovskite solar cells under a nitrogen atmosphere in a glove box.
- Preparation of standard architecture devices such as ITO-coated glass/SnO2/perovskite/Spiro-OMeTAD/Au.
- Research on inverted architecture perovskite photovoltaics.
- Studies of mixed-cation perovskite films with improved stability over double cation formulations.
