TTPA, or 9,10-Bis[N,N-di-(p-tolyl)-amino]anthracene (CAS 177799-16-5), is an organic semiconductor widely chosen as a green dopant in TADF-OLED devices. Ossila supplies it in sublimed grade with a purity above 99.0% by HPLC, as a yellow powder or crystals.
The molecule carries two triarylamine groups, which make it electron-rich. This gives TTPA a second role as a hole-transporting material in OLEDs, organic photovoltaics (OPV) and perovskite solar cells. It belongs to the families of hole transport layer (HTL) and electron-blocking layer (EBL) materials.
In DCM, TTPA absorbs at 294 and 471 nm and emits at 554 nm, with HOMO at 5.5 eV and LUMO at 3.1 eV. Reported green devices using TTPA as a dopant reached a maximum EQE of 15.8% and power efficiency of 47 lm W-1, and it has also been used in a white OLED with a maximum EQE of 12.1%. Sublimation is applied to obtain this ultra-pure grade.
