Permalloy (Ni-Fe-Mo) is a nickel-iron based soft magnetic alloy, with molybdenum added to tailor its magnetic and electrical behavior. Supplied as a sputtering target, it is used to deposit thin films of this alloy onto substrates by physical vapor deposition, a common route for magnetic thin-film research and device prototyping.
