Submicron fumed silicon dioxide (SiO2) is an amorphous, nanostructured inorganic oxide powder produced by flame pyrolysis. This grade has been surface-treated with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), which makes the particle surface hydrophobic (water-repelling). It belongs to the group of fumed silica nanomaterials used as functional additives and fillers. The product is supplied as a fine powder with a nominal mesh size of -325.
