This Nanografi silicon dioxide (SiO2) nanopowder is a synthetic, high-purity spherical silica with a purity of 99.5+% and a particle size of 310 nm. It is produced by high-temperature flame fusion, a route that gives uniform spherical, amorphous particles with a specific surface area of about ~14 m²/g.
Because the particles are round and smooth, the powder flows freely and packs densely, which makes it easy to process during compounding. The manufacturing process is designed to keep internal stresses low, so the material shows low thermal stress and good physical stability.
These properties make the powder a useful filler for improving the mechanical, thermal and dielectric behaviour of advanced matrices such as epoxy molding compounds, engineering plastics, coatings and thermal interface materials.
- Functional filler in epoxy molding compounds (EMC) and electronic packaging, lowering the thermal expansion coefficient of encapsulants that protect semiconductor chips.
- Reinforcing filler in engineering plastics and resin composites, allowing high loading without raising melt viscosity during extrusion and injection molding.
- Additive in industrial coatings and protective paints to improve hardness, scratch resistance, gloss control, flow and leveling.
- Component in thermal management materials, lubricants and high-performance adhesives for automotive and electronic uses.
