This product is a spherical nickel base alloy micron powder made from Inconel 718, a nickel-chromium alloy valued for high strength and corrosion resistance. The particle size range is 15-53 µm, and the powder is suited to 3D printing (additive manufacturing) as well as aerospace and energy work.
Inconel 718 performs over a broad temperature span, from cryogenic conditions up to high-temperature service. The alloy can be age-hardened, processes well and welds readily, resisting cracking after welding. Its tensile, fatigue, creep and rupture strength make it a common choice for parts that must be durable and precise.
Typical end uses include rocket engine hardware, structural aircraft parts, land-based gas turbines, cryogenic tanks, and precision fasteners and instrument components.
- Production of liquid-fueled rocket engine components that need strength and oxidation resistance at extreme temperatures.
- Manufacture of aircraft rings, casings and formed sheet metal parts requiring fatigue and creep resistance.
- Parts for land-based gas turbine engines used in power generation under prolonged high-temperature exposure.
- Cryogenic tankage and systems that must stay tough and stable in extreme cold.
- Precision fasteners and instrumentation parts for aerospace and industrial sectors.
- Additive manufacturing (3D printing) of durable, high-performance components.

Weld strictly to the requirements of oxygen-acetylene flame or plasma spray welding. Use -150 mesh powder with small and medium spray welding guns and -150/+320 mesh powder with large spray guns. Powder that has absorbed moisture or been stored longer than 3 months should be dried before use (120 ° C, 2 hours). This is a readily combustible metal powder with general toxic and irritating effects; the maximum allowable day concentration is 0.001 mg/m3. Avoid inhaling the dust, which may cause headache, elevated body temperature, vertigo and weakness.
