Description

TCI B6867 is a fluorinated terphenyl liquid crystal bearing a butyl terminal chain and a –CF2O– bridge to a 3,4,5-trifluorophenyl ring. This structural motif generates a strong longitudinal dipole, giving the material the large positive dielectric anisotropy sought in low-voltage display formulations. Lateral fluorine substitution on the rigid core supports favourable viscosity and good miscibility in multicomponent nematic mixtures.
