Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is an inorganic metal oxide ceramic from the transition metal oxide group. Sputtering targets are solid, dense forms of this material used as the source in physical vapor deposition (PVD). Under ion bombardment, atoms are ejected from the target and deposited onto a substrate to form thin films with controlled composition and thickness.
