Vanadium (V) sputtering targets are solid, metal-based targets made from vanadium, a transition metal. They are used in magnetron sputtering systems, a physical vapor deposition method in which target atoms are ejected onto a substrate to form thin films. Vanadium targets are commonly chosen for research into functional metallic and oxide coatings.
