Zinc Sulfide (ZnS) sputtering targets are solid, sintered source materials used in physical vapor deposition (PVD) to produce thin films. ZnS is an inorganic II-VI compound semiconductor known for its wide bandgap and useful transparency in the visible and infrared ranges. As a sputtering target, it is eroded by ion bombardment so that ZnS can be deposited as a uniform layer onto substrates in research and pilot-scale processes.
