Zinc sulfide (ZnS) is an inorganic II-VI compound semiconductor known for its wide bandgap and good optical transparency in the visible and infrared ranges. Sputtering targets are solid, dense blocks of the material used as the source in physical vapor deposition (PVD) processes. During sputtering, atoms are ejected from the target under plasma bombardment and deposited onto a substrate to form thin films. This makes ZnS targets a practical choice for thin-film research and development.
