Collection: Oligopeptides

Oligopeptides — contains short chains of amino acids, either synthesized or isolated, such as vasopressin, A-779, ritonavir, and pneumocandin B0, representing a range of biological functions from peptide hormones to enzyme inhibitors. Their relatively small size facilitates targeted chemical synthesis and specific structural modification.

Oligopeptides are used by biochemistry and pharmacology researchers as model ligands in studies of vasopressin receptors and the renin-angiotensin system, as reference compounds in protease inhibitor research such as ritonavir, and as test materials in cosmetic research such as palmitoyl tetrapeptide 7 in in vitro cell models. Cyclic peptides such as pneumocandin B0 are also the subject of studies on antifungal activity.

Example products in this collection: TCI V0159 129979-57-3 [Arg 8]-Vasopressin Acetate, TCI C2408 59865-13-3 Cyclosporin A, TCI A3281 159432-28-7 A-779, TCI C3597 47931-85-1 Calcitonin Salmon, TCI R0116 155213-67-5 Ritonavir, TCI C3755 CRGDS Peptide Hydrochloride, TCI P3191 221227-05-0 Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide 7, TCI C3756 CGRGDS Peptide Hydrochloride.

Pay attention to peptide purity (usually stated as a percentage by HPLC), acetate salt or other forms, and cold, moisture-free storage conditions to maintain peptide structural stability. All products are genuine Tokyo Chemical Industry (TCI) Japan products, with purity, packaging, and storage conditions listed on each item's page.
