Collection: Protein L

Protein L — contains recombinant Protein L and its conjugates, a bacterial protein that binds the kappa light chain of immunoglobulins without interfering with the antigen-binding site. This unique binding property makes this group useful for handling various antibody classes and fragments at once.

Protein L is used in antibody engineering research and in the development of fragments such as Fab and scFv, because it can bind kappa light chains across almost all immunoglobulin classes, including IgG, IgM, and IgA. HRP and biotin conjugates of Protein L are used in ELISA detection and biosensor-based assays to monitor antibody-antigen interactions without interfering with its binding function.

Example products in this collection: TCI P3059 Protein L Recombinant, expressed in Escherichia coli, TCI P2998 Protein L Biotin Conjugate, TCI P2999 Protein L HRP Conjugate.

Pay attention to specificity toward kappa versus lambda chains in the target antibody species, and choose the pure recombinant form or a conjugate according to the needs of detection or immobilization. All products are genuine Tokyo Chemical Industry (TCI) Japan products, with purity, packaging, and storage conditions listed on the page of each item.
