Description
TCI B6564 is bispyribac sodium, the sodium salt of a bis(dimethoxypyrimidinyl-oxy)benzoic acid and a well-known acetolactate synthase–inhibiting herbicidal active ingredient. Its salt form offers markedly better aqueous solubility than the free acid, which makes stock and serial dilution preparation straightforward for analytical work. In the laboratory it is used chiefly as a reference material for residue method development and validation, and in plant science studies of branched-chain amino acid biosynthesis and herbicide resistance.
