Description
TCI B6612 is a bisphenol A-based bis(trimellitic anhydride) ester, an aromatic dianhydride monomer for high-performance polymers. It reacts with di- or polyamines to give poly(amic acid) intermediates that are subsequently imidised into polyimides and poly(ester imide)s. The flexible ester linkages and isopropylidene bridge generally improve solubility and processability relative to fully rigid polyimide systems. AMI Scientific supplies this TCI monomer in 5 g and 25 g pack sizes for polymer chemistry and materials science laboratories.
