TCI B6647 4,4'-(Piperazine-1,4-diyl)dianiline (CAS 7479-12-1) is a bifunctional aromatic diamine monomer available from AMI Scientific. Its two reactive aniline groups condense readily with dianhydrides or diacyl chlorides to give polyimides and polyamides, while the central piperazine unit contributes basic nitrogen sites. This makes it attractive for covalent organic frameworks, gas separation membranes, and coordination materials. Supplied in 1 g and 5 g packs, it should be stored sealed in a cool, dry place, protected from light and air to prevent oxidative discolouration.
