Description

TCI C0111 2-Chloroaniline (CAS 95-51-2) is the ortho isomer of chloroaniline, in which the chlorine atom sits adjacent to the amino group. This proximity produces distinctive steric and electronic effects and enables cyclisation routes toward fused heterocyclic systems. The amine also undergoes standard transformations such as acylation, alkylation, and diazotisation, while the C–Cl bond supports metal-catalysed coupling. Offered in 25 mL and 500 mL packs, it is toxic and skin-absorbing and must be handled in a fume hood and stored tightly closed and protected from light.
