TCI C0339 Benzo[a]phenanthrene (purified by sublimation), CAS 218-01-9, is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon refined by sublimation to remove non-volatile impurities. Materials purified this way are preferred for applications where even trace contaminants can affect device performance, such as organic semiconductor and light-emitting device research. Its extended conjugated system also makes it a useful subject for photophysical and fluorescence studies, as well as a reference material in PAH analysis. AMI Scientific offers this TCI product in 100 mg and 1 g packs; as a PAH, it must be handled in a fume hood with appropriate protective equipment and disposed of according to your laboratory's hazardous waste procedures.
