TCI C1120 trans-1,2-Cyclohexanediamine (CAS 1121-22-8) is a rigid cyclic diamine whose two primary amino groups sit in a fixed trans arrangement, making it an excellent chelating backbone. It is a classic precursor to salen-type ligands and to a wide range of urea, thiourea, and macrocyclic frameworks used in coordination chemistry and organocatalysis. Both amines are also readily acylated, sulfonylated, or alkylated for further diversification.
