Diamine Monomers are used by researchers and polymer material developers as the main monomers in the synthesis of polyimides, polyamides, and polybenzoxazoles through polycondensation with dianhydrides or diacid chlorides. Aromatic-ring diamines such as biphenyl and trifluoromethyl derivatives are widely used to produce polymer films with specific thermal stability and optical properties, while poly(oxypropylene)-based diamines are used in the synthesis of polyureas and flexible elastomers.
