The Joan Lab DB is a digital dry bath (dry block heater) that holds samples at a set temperature up to 100℃ without a water bath. Interchangeable modules accept 0.2 ml, 0.5 ml, 1.5 ml and 2.0 ml centrifuge tubes, 5/15 ml and 50 ml tubes, 5 ml vacuum blood tubes, flat bottom ELISA or culture plates and cuvettes, with an aluminium bead option for irregular vessels.

The range covers heating-only units (DB100, dual-block DB100-2P), the DB100C with cooling below ambient, and the DBS100 and DBS100C models that add shaking from 200-1500rpm. All models hold temperature within ±0.5℃ and display it at 0.1℃ resolution, with nine storable temperature settings or program memories.

Typical fields of use include molecular biology work such as PCR, enzyme reactions and DNA denaturation, as well as clinical biochemistry, microbiology and biotechnology research. The unit is supplied with a 1-year warranty.
