The Joan Lab LC500-MP is a compact microplate centrifuge built for spinning down 96-well PCR plates. Its rotor accepts up to four plates per run, giving more working capacity than a standard mini centrifuge. A brushless motor drives the rotor across a 500 - 2000 rpm range, reaching a maximum of 500xg on a 10.2cm rotor radius.

Speed and run time are both adjustable, with timing from 30s to 59min50s shown on an LCD display. Built-in safeguards cover lid opening, cavity overtemperature and vibration. The unit draws 50W and runs on AC 110V - 220V 50/60Hz.

Typical users include clinical and hospital laboratories (blood and serum separation), molecular biology and biotechnology labs (DNA/RNA work, cell pellets), pharmaceutical quality control, food and beverage testing, and university and research laboratories.
