The Ossila G2012G1 is a compact infrared LED light source emitting at 980 nm (±15 nm) with an optical power above 20 mW. It belongs to Ossila's family of high-power USB LED sources, whose infrared models span 700 nm to 980 nm, and is intended for infrared spectroscopy work.
The unit draws its power from a USB type-C connection (5 V, 70 mA). Light can be delivered in free space, coupled into a transmission holder, or sent through an optical fiber via its SMA 905 connection. The housing can be bolted onto standard metric or imperial optical tables and breadboard plates, making it simple to integrate into an existing optical bench.
Measuring 30 mm x 70 mm x 40 mm and weighing 25 g, the source pairs with the Ossila Optical Spectrometer and the wider Ossila range of spectroscopy accessories. A set covering every infrared wavelength in the range is also offered for broader experimental needs.
