The Ossila LED Solar Simulator G2009B2 is a steady-state, LED-based light source for photovoltaic testing of small-area solar cells. Classified to IEC 60904-9:2020, it reaches AAA over a 15 mm diameter area and ABA over a 25 mm diameter area, delivering 1000 W/m2 (1 Sun) at an 8.5 cm working distance across 350 nm - 1000 nm.
Each LED can be power-controlled individually, so the spectrum can be tuned to particular lighting conditions, including calibration for indoor photovoltaics. The lamp is ready within minutes, runs for up to 10000 hours, needs minimal maintenance and carries no explosion risk. Every unit is calibrated with a NIST traceable spectroradiometer and ships with a performance report.
Control is handled through the Ossila Solar Simulator Console software over USB, or via a serial command library for specialist measurements. An optical breadboard and adjustable height stand are supplied, allowing the compact lamp to sit on a bench or mount to larger optical tables.
