Description

TCI B6501 (CAS 103595-81-9) is a salen-type ligand, N,N'-bis(3,5-di-tert-butylsalicylidene)ethylenediamine, offering a tetradentate N₂O₂ donor set for transition metal coordination. The bulky tert-butyl groups provide steric protection around the metal centre and improve solubility in organic solvents. Salen complexes of manganese, cobalt, chromium, nickel, and copper are widely studied in homogeneous catalysis, coordination chemistry, bioinorganic model systems, and functional materials research.
