TCI B6526, Ethyl (E)-3-(4-Bromophenyl)acrylate (CAS 24393-53-1), combines a conjugated acrylate system with a para-bromo aryl handle in a single molecule. The acrylate moiety serves as a Michael acceptor and dienophile, while the C–Br bond is readily engaged in palladium-catalysed cross-couplings such as Suzuki–Miyaura, Heck and Sonogashira reactions. This orthogonal reactivity allows sequential, controlled elaboration toward more complex cinnamate-derived scaffolds.
