TCI B6563 is 2,6-bis[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)oxy]benzoic acid, the free-acid form of a symmetric pyrimidinyloxy-benzoate structure bearing two methoxylated pyrimidine rings. The free carboxylic acid group gives it distinct acid–base and solubility behaviour compared with its salt form, and provides a ready handle for conversion into esters, amides, or alternative salts. Compounds of this class are studied in agricultural chemistry in connection with acetolactate synthase inhibition in plants.
