TCI B6768 1,1'-[Methylenebis(4,1-phenylene)]bis(2-hydroxy-2-methylpropan-1-one) is a symmetrical difunctional compound bearing two alpha-hydroxyalkylphenone units joined through a methylene bridge. Alpha-hydroxyketone frameworks of this type are well known as cleavage-type free-radical photoinitiators that generate initiating radicals upon suitable irradiation. The difunctional, higher-molecular-weight design is of particular interest in coating, ink, and adhesive formulations where low additive migration is desired.
