TCI B6915 (CAS 2536-35-8) is 16-bromohexadecanoic acid, a long-chain ω-bromo fatty acid with two independently addressable ends. The terminal bromide reacts readily with thiols, amines, azides and phenolates, while the carboxylic acid can be esterified, amidated or anchored to inorganic surfaces. These features make it a popular linker for self-assembled monolayers, lipid probes, nanoparticle surface modification and macrocyclisation studies.
