TCI C0014 (+/-)-Camphorquinone, CAS 10373-78-1, is a bicyclic 1,2-diketone widely used as a visible-light photoinitiator. Combined with a tertiary amine co-initiator, it generates free radicals that initiate the curing of methacrylate-based resins and coatings. Because it absorbs in the visible region, curing can be controlled without UV irradiation, which is valuable in dental and photocurable materials research.
