TCI C0215, 4-chloro-2-nitroaniline (CAS 89-63-4), is a positional isomer in the chloronitroaniline series in which the nitro group sits ortho to the free amine. Reduction of the nitro group delivers an ortho-phenylenediamine that can be cyclised directly into benzimidazoles, benzotriazoles, or quinoxalines, while the remaining aryl chloride offers a handle for palladium- or copper-catalysed cross-coupling. It also serves as a classical diazo component for azo dye and pigment preparation at research scale. Available from AMI Scientific in 25 g and 500 g packs; refer to the official TCI data sheet and SDS for lot-specific specifications and handling requirements.
