TCI C0326 Choline, 47-50% in water and stabilised with hydrazine monohydrate (CAS 123-41-1), is a metal-free strong organic base supplied by Tokyo Chemical Industry. It is used as a base in organic synthesis, as a cholinium cation source for ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents, and in electronic materials research where alkali metal contamination must be avoided. The solution is corrosive and contains hydrazine monohydrate, so it must be handled in a fume hood with chemical-resistant gloves, goggles, and a lab coat. Available in 25 g, 100 g, and 500 g packs, it should be stored tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated area away from acids and oxidising agents.
