Ethyl alpha-Cyanocinnamate (CAS 2025-40-3) from TCI is the ethyl ester of alpha-cyanocinnamic acid, combining a conjugated alkene with nitrile and ester electron-withdrawing groups. The doubly activated double bond makes it a highly reactive Michael acceptor and an effective electron-poor dienophile in cycloaddition chemistry.
