TCI C0869 gamma-Cyclodextrin (CAS 17465-86-0) is a cyclic oligosaccharide built from eight alpha-1,4-linked glucose units, forming a truncated-cone structure with a hydrophilic exterior and a hydrophobic inner cavity. Its cavity is the largest among the common native cyclodextrins, allowing it to host relatively bulky guest molecules in inclusion complexes. Researchers use it to improve the aqueous solubility and stability of hydrophobic compounds, to encapsulate sensitive actives, and as a chiral selector in chromatographic and capillary electrophoresis separations.
