Description
TCI C0895 Vinyl Decanoate (CAS 4704-31-8) is a long-chain vinyl ester monomer stabilised with MEHQ. Its vinyl group readily undergoes radical polymerisation, while the C10 acyl chain acts as an internal plasticiser that adds flexibility and hydrophobicity to the resulting polymer. It is also widely used as an irreversible acyl donor in lipase-catalysed transesterification. Supplied by AMI Scientific in a 25 mL pack, it should be stored cool, dark, and away from heat, peroxides, and radical sources, with the inhibitor left intact.
