Vinyl 2-Chlorobenzoate (TCI C1048, CAS 15721-27-4) is a polymerizable vinyl ester supplied stabilized with hydroquinone to prevent premature polymerization. Its vinyl group enables free-radical homo- and copolymerization, while the chlorinated aromatic ring tunes the properties of the resulting materials. Vinyl esters are also valuable acylating agents, particularly in irreversible enzyme-catalyzed transesterification and kinetic resolution. AMI Scientific offers 5 g and 25 g packs; store cool, dark, and away from heat or radical sources to keep the inhibitor effective.
