Description
TCI C1307 Cyclopentanone Oxime is the oxime derivative of cyclopentanone and a useful precursor to nitrogen-containing scaffolds. Its best-known transformation is the Beckmann rearrangement, which converts the cyclic oxime into a ring-expanded lactam. Reduction of the oxime instead delivers cyclopentylamine, while the C=N–OH group can act as a donor ligand in metal complexes. AMI Scientific supplies this TCI building block as a 25 g solid pack for routine laboratory synthesis.
