TCI C1327 (2S,8aR)-(-)-(Camphorylsulfonyl)oxaziridine is the enantiomeric counterpart of the widely used camphor-derived chiral oxidant. Its rigid sulfonyl-camphor scaffold delivers oxygen preferentially to one face of the substrate, supporting enantioselective enolate hydroxylation and the preparation of chiral sulfoxides from sulfides. The metal-free oxygen transfer mechanism is valuable when the final product must remain free of transition-metal residues.
