Description

TCI C1543, Cycloheptanone Oxime (CAS 2158-31-8), is the oxime derivative of cycloheptanone and a valuable precursor in medium-ring chemistry. It is most commonly employed in the Beckmann rearrangement, which converts the cyclic oxime into a ring-expanded lactam of interest to both polymer and heterocyclic research. The oxime group can also be reduced to the corresponding primary amine or hydrolysed back to the parent ketone. Supplied by AMI Scientific in 5 g and 25 g packs, it should be stored tightly closed in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place.
