Collection: Glyco Building Blocks

Glyco Building Blocks — gathers protected sugar building blocks such as glycosyl azides, aminoethyl/aminopropyl glycosides, glycosyl donors, as well as MP and pNP glycosides that serve as precursors for the synthesis of targeted oligosaccharides. These building blocks act as basic units for assembling complex carbohydrate structures stepwise and in a controlled manner.

Glyco Building Blocks are used by carbohydrate synthesis specialists to assemble target oligosaccharides through stepwise glycosylation reactions, with acetyl or benzyl protecting groups that can be selectively removed. Glycosyl donors and pNP glycosides also function as chromogenic substrates in glycosidase enzyme activity assays, while aminoethyl and aminopropyl glycosides are used as conjugation points for preparing neoglycoproteins or glycan microarrays.

Pay attention to the type of protecting group (acetyl, benzyl, or chloralose), the anomeric configuration (alpha/beta), and the purity level with respect to possible residual isomers, which may affect the results of the glycosylation reaction in the next step.
