TCI B6400, tert-butyl (R)-2-methylpiperazine-1-carboxylate (CAS 170033-47-3), is a mono-Boc-protected chiral piperazine building block with defined (R) configuration at C-2. The selective protection leaves the N-4 nitrogen free for alkylation, acylation, sulfonylation, reductive amination, or Buchwald–Hartwig coupling. Subsequent acid-mediated Boc removal unmasks the second nitrogen for further elaboration, making the reagent well suited to multi-step medicinal chemistry routes.
