Description
TCI B6532 is a ready-to-use solution of 1,3-butadiene (CAS 106-99-0) in dichloromethane, supplied at approximately 6% (about 1.5 mol/L) by the manufacturer. Because butadiene is a gas under ambient conditions, this solution form lets researchers dispense the diene by volume instead of setting up gas-handling equipment. It is particularly convenient for Diels–Alder cycloadditions, transition-metal-catalysed diene chemistry and laboratory-scale polymerisation studies. The material is highly flammable and butadiene is classified as a carcinogen, so handling in a fume hood with reference to the official SDS is essential; AMI Scientific supplies it in original TCI packaging in 100 mL and 500 mL sizes.
