TCI B6582 Barium(II) Trifluoroacetate (CAS 60884-92-6) is a main-group inorganic reagent whose trifluoroacetate anion provides useful solubility in polar organic solvents. This makes it a practical barium source for precursor solutions used in chemical solution deposition and thin-film preparation. It is also studied in the synthesis of fluorine-containing and complex oxide materials, where the organic component decomposes during thermal treatment. Supplied in 1 g and 5 g pack sizes, it must be handled with care as soluble barium salts are toxic, and stored in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry place.
