TCI 2-Chloroethyl Phosphorodichloridate (CAS 1455-05-6) is a strongly electrophilic phosphorylating reagent bearing two reactive P–Cl bonds and a 2-chloroethyl group. It reacts readily with alcohols and amines to form phosphate esters and phosphoramides, and is frequently used in phospholipid and phosphate analogue synthesis. The product is supplied in a 25 g package for controlled research-scale work. Because it reacts vigorously with water and releases corrosive acidic gas, handle it in a fume hood under dry or inert conditions with thoroughly dried glassware, and store the tightly closed container away from moisture.
