TCI C0976 2-Chlorophenyl Phosphorodichloridate (CAS 15074-54-1) is a moisture-sensitive phosphorylating agent supplied in a 5 g pack. Its two reactive P–Cl bonds react readily with alcohols and nucleoside hydroxyl groups, while the 2-chlorophenyl group acts as a removable phosphate protecting group. It is classically associated with phosphotriester approaches to oligonucleotide synthesis and with the preparation of protected phosphate esters. Use strict anhydrous technique in a fume hood, wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection, and keep the container tightly sealed, preferably under inert gas.
