TCI C1210 2-Chloro-4H-1,3,2-benzodioxaphosphorin-4-one, CAS 5381-99-7, is a cyclic phosphorus(III) chloride reagent widely used for phosphitylation of free hydroxyl groups. It reacts readily with nucleosides, sugars, and other alcohols to give phosphorus(III) intermediates that can subsequently be oxidised, sulfurised, or cyclised. Because of this, it is a standard tool in nucleotide chemistry, cyclic phosphate synthesis, and phosphorus-containing prodrug research.
