TCI C1210 2-Chloro-4H-1,3,2-benzodioxaphosphorin-4-one, CAS 5381-99-7, is a cyclic phosphorus(III) chloride reagent widely used for phosphitylation of free hydroxyl groups. It reacts readily with nucleosides, sugars, and other alcohols to give phosphorus(III) intermediates that can subsequently be oxidised, sulfurised, or cyclised. Because of this, it is a standard tool in nucleotide chemistry, cyclic phosphate synthesis, and phosphorus-containing prodrug research. AMI Scientific supplies 5 g and 25 g packs; the reagent is highly moisture sensitive and must be handled under dry, inert conditions in line with the manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet.
