TCI C0900 beta-Cyclodextrin (CAS 7585-39-9) is a cyclic oligosaccharide composed of seven glucopyranose units, featuring a hydrophobic inner cavity and a hydrophilic outer surface. This architecture allows it to form inclusion complexes with suitably sized guest molecules, a property widely exploited in solubility enhancement, stabilisation studies, and supramolecular chemistry. It also serves as a starting scaffold for modified cyclodextrin derivatives and as a basis for chiral separation media.
