1-Morpholino-1-cyclopentene (TCI C1040, CAS 936-52-7) is a cyclic enamine derived from cyclopentanone and morpholine. Its nucleophilic β-carbon makes it a classic reagent for Stork enamine alkylation and acylation, offering regioselective ketone functionalization under mild conditions. It also serves in Michael additions and as a precursor to substituted cyclopentanones and fused heterocycles.
